Frequently Asked Questions

Earlier than you think. Families who get the best outcomes start the conversation 12–18 months before their target enrollment date. That said, I work with families at every stage — including those who are already mid-process and need a course correction. If you’re wondering whether it’s too late, it’s probably not. Reach out and we’ll figure it out together.

I work with families from preschool through 12th grade, including boarding school applicants. I also support families post-admissions — the transition into a new school is often where the real work begins, and I offer 90-day plans to make sure your child doesn’t just get in, but actually thrives.
-
Every engagement starts with a discovery call where I learn about your child — not just their activities or academics, but who they actually are. From there I build a strategy tailored to their real profile, your family’s values, and the schools that are genuinely the right fit. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach because no two children are the same.

I offer a range of engagements depending on where you are in the process and what level of support your family needs. The best way to find out what’s right for you is to book a free 20-minute discovery call. We’ll talk through your situation and I’ll be straightforward about what I’d recommend and what it involves.

Yes. While I have deep roots in the NYC and Philadelphia independent school communities, I work with families across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and California — and beyond when the fit is right.

I’m a licensed psychologist with a PhD from Fordham and graduate training at Columbia’s Teachers College — not just someone who knows the schools. That means I can read your child’s profile the way an admissions team actually does, identify what makes them genuinely compelling, and help them access their best selves when it counts. I’ve also trained inside independent school culture at The Buckley School on the Upper East Side, so I understand these environments from the inside out.
-
Yes — this is an area I care deeply about. I conduct psychoeducational evaluations and have extensive experience helping families whose children have uneven profiles, learning differences, or who simply don’t fit neatly into a box. Finding the right school fit for these kids is often the most important work I do.
